What is Dry Type Transformer?
Dry type transformers are among the cooled transformers. Transformers whose magnetic circuit and windings are not protected in an insulating liquid are called dry type transformers. They are among the cooled transformers.
Dry type transformers do not contain oil. They operate under atmosphere or in gaseous state. High voltage and low voltage windings are produced in a closed environment. It is also produced under vacuum and with resin.
Dry type transformers are reliable against fire. They are resistant to moisture due to their structure. They can work even in very high humidity environments.
